Vintage after vintage, we explore the exquisite nuances of Napa’s extraordinary Lovall Valley.
Magical from the moment we laid eyes on it, Lovall Valley is one of Napa’s coolest and most remote growing regions, and home to our own Grieve Family Estate Vineyard. Here, our site-specific, organic farming works in concert with the area’s uniquely cool microclimate to produce Grieve Family wines of profound richness, structure and site expression. Welcome, and enjoy!

Wine

Owners David and Kathleen Grieve produce two labels from the fruit grown at their 70-acre estate in Napa’s remote Lovall Valley. The Grieve Family Estate wines, comprised of their flagship Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, are 100% estate grown. The Double Eagle wines, named for Grieve’s golf passion, are Bordeaux-style red and white blends produced from a combination of estate fruit, and grapes sourced from premier valley-floor sites in Oakville and St Helena.

About

The Grieves purchased their Lovall Valley property in 2002 with the goal of putting down roots in wine country. Little did they know that the newly planted Sauvignon Blanc vineyard next door would one day become their most pivotal real estate purchase. Originally captivated by the vineyard’s views, and eventually lured among the vines for their daily walks, they began to imagine what could be. Two years later, the vineyard went on the market, and David and Kathleen took the first step towards making their dream a reality.
